synopsis

Yuri is a refugee from Chernobyl who bakes bread in his anonymous apartment. His customers are on the fringes, just like him. He searches for answers, for meaning, for the red dot saying 'you are here'. Yuri, the warrior of the small gesture. His world is disrupted when he meets Angelique and the dot becomes tangible flesh. YURI explores the extremes that life can bring.

Yuri est un réfugié de Tchernobyl. Il cuit du pain dans son appartement anonyme. Ses clients sont des marginaux, tout comme lui. Il cherche des réponses, du sens au point rouge « vous êtes ici ». Yuri, le guerrier des petits gestes. Son monde est perturbé lorsqu’il rencontre Angélique. Le point devient tangible. Yuri montre les situations extrêmes que la vie peut entraîner. La douceur des rêves et la douloureuse confrontation avec soi-même.

Yuri is een vluchteling uit Tsjernobyl. In zijn anonieme flat bakt hij brood. Zijn klanten zijn net als hem randfiguren. In de schaduw van de ramp, zoekt hij naar antwoorden, naar betekenis. Naar de rode stip: u bent hier. Yuri, de strijder van het kleine gebaar. Wanneer hij Angelique ontmoet, wordt zijn wereld verstoord. De stip wordt tastbaar vlees. _YURI toont de extremen die het leven brengt. De zachtheid van de droom en de harde confrontatie met jezelf.
